At FAC, we believe spiritual growth doesn’t happen only on Sunday mornings. It happens as we learn, pray, encourage one another, and follow Jesus together.

That’s why we’re excited to begin developing Small Groups as a new opportunity for people to build meaningful relationships and grow in their faith.

While we’re still building this ministry, we’d love for you to be part of the journey.

What are Small Groups?

At FAC, we want to be a place where people can BEGIN, BELONG, AND BELIEVE.

Small Groups are an intentional extension of that vision into the community—helping people learn about Jesus, love like Jesus, and experience the freedom found in Him through BELONGING, FORMATION, CARE, and living MISSIONALLY.

Our Heart (Core Values)

  • We recognize that someone can attend church for a long time and not feel deeply known. Small Groups help create a place where people are known by name, welcomed with joy, and reminded that there is room for them in the family of God.

    Belonging is more than being friendly. It is creating a culture where people feel seen, valued, and invited deeper into life with Jesus. In a world where many people feel lonely, disconnected, or unsure where they fit, Small Groups allow us to say, “You matter, and you do not have to walk alone.”

    • Formation is about becoming more like Jesus—being shaped by Him in our hearts, homes, relationships, and daily lives. As we believe God’s Word together, we want Small Groups to open Scripture, talk about the way of Jesus, and have Christ-centered conversations.

    • Small Groups help us ask important questions together:

    1. How is this Scripture inviting us to trust Jesus?

    2. How is Jesus shaping our character?

    3. Where is the Holy Spirit convicting, encouraging, or leading us?

    4. How do we live this out in our everyday lives?

    • Small Groups help people move from hearing the Word to living the Word. We are formed best when we are formed together.

    • A healthy church is not only a church where people attend programs. A healthy church is a church where people are known, loved, prayed for, encouraged, and cared for. Small Groups help create a first layer of care within the body of Christ. They help us notice when someone is missing, know when someone is struggling, and respond with prayer, encouragement, meals, support, and follow-up.

    • This does not mean Small Group leaders are expected to become pastors, counselors, or crisis-management experts—that is not the expectation. Small Groups give us a natural opportunity to care for one another.

    • Small Groups are not focused inward; they are meant to bring people together to find freedom in Christ. As we grow together in Christ, we are also sent back into our neighborhoods, workplaces, schools, families, and relationships to be a light in dark places and a healing presence in a broken world.

    • Small Groups help us remember that following Jesus is not only something we talk about when we gather; it is something we live out wherever God has placed us.

    • We encourage each Small Group to find simple and meaningful ways to live missionally throughout the season. Whether through FAC ministries, local ministry partners, or needs in your community, serving together is a great way to reflect the love of Jesus. If you need ideas, the pastor overseeing Small Groups would be glad to help.

Small Groups are now beginning at FAC, and we’d love for you to find a group that’s right for you.

Groups provide an opportunity to gather throughout the week for Bible study, discussion, prayer, fellowship, and discipleship as we learn to follow Jesus together.

The best way to find a Small Group is to pick up a Small Groups pamphlet in the lobby. The pamphlets provide information about the groups currently available and how to get connected.
